The Oregon Lakes Association (OLA) and Washington State Lake Protection Association (WALPA) have combined forces for our next conference at the University Place Hotel & Conference Center in Portland, Oregon Wednesday, October 9 through Friday, October 11, 2024. This year’s theme is “Limnology – The Next Generation”. Come learn about the many awesome advancements in lake research and management.
Wednesday and Thursday will be full days of learning sessions, starting each day with exciting plenary speakers. Wednesday evening will include a social event with poster presentations on research by students and others, and live and silent auctions to raise funds for student scholarships. Friday will be dedicated to half-day workshops and a field trip. Potential learning sessions include, but are not limited to:

Share your latest project or research by submitting an abstract for the conference. Abstracts may be submitted for oral presentations and posters.
Your submission should include:

your presentation title

author(s), noting the lead presenter and any student authors

your preference for an oral or poster presentation,
-
whether you prefer to present on Wednesday or Thursday

an abstract of 300 words/3,000 characters or less (.docx or .pdf format).
