Theme: Lakes of the Clatsop Plains: Past, Present, Future
You are invited to submit an abstract for the Annual Oregon Lakes Association Conference to be held Saturday, October 11, 2014, 8a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria Oregon. The theme of this year’s conference is “Lakes of the Clatsop Plains: Past, Present, Future”. Although the focus of the conference is on these important north Oregon coastal lakes, oral and poster presentations on any topic related to Oregon' s lakes and their watersheds are welcome. Additional topic areas of particular interest include: Harmful Algal Blooms Aquatic invasive species Volunteer lake monitoring Lake and watershed management Interested in being a presenter or having a poster? Please submit (aka "Register") your abstract through our Call For Papers event page for consideration! Please note that accepted presenters will have to register for the conference through a separate registration form at a later date and that registration fees will apply. Conference Schedule: October 10-12, 2014 Friday (Evening): Pre-conference event Saturday (All day): Technical and Poster Sessions Sunday (Morning): Kayak - Canoe Tour of Cullaby Lake Abstracts should be submitted online through www.OregonLakes.org by August 15, 2014. Include your presentation title, author(s) noting student authors, your preference of a talk or poster, and an abstract of 300 words/3,000 characters or less. Oral presentations will be 20 minutes (15 min plus 5 min for discussion). A Microsoft Windows based computer and projector will be available for oral presentations. Tables and/or poster boards will be provided for non-oral presentations.
