CALL for PAPERS and POSTERS
Oregon's Coastal Lakes come in all shapes and sizes. They have unique climatic influences, fisheries, management issues, and more which make them in our eyes worthy of a conference focus. This is where we need your help. We are searching (aka surfing) for presentations and posters which highlight the understanding of these often overlooked freshwater shores. Join us in Florence, Oregon at the Driftwood Shores Resort and Conference Center between October 20-21 for a deeper dive into Coastal Lakes. Submit your abstract for consideration today! Other topics of interest include: Harmful algal blooms Invasive aquatic species Lake and watershed management as well as Non-Coastal Oregon Lakes! Submission Requirements: Submit abstracts online through www.OregonLakes.org by August 31, 2017. Include your presentation title, author(s) noting student authors, preference of an oral or poster presentation, and an abstract of 300 words/3,000 characters or less. Oral presentations will be 20 minutes (15 min plus 5 min for discussion) and Microsoft Windows based computer and projector will be available presentations. Tables and/or poster boards will be provided for non-oral presentations. Please note that accepted presenters must register for the conference through a separate registration. Rates typically range from $35 to $125 based on membership status (e.g. Student to Non-Member, early to regular registration, etc.). Sponsorship opportunities are also available! Sponsors will receive a booth, registration for one attendee, and bonus advertising packages through Lake Wise our newsletter.
